SLB – Schlumberger – Buy under $50 – Final Trade

Steve Cortes:
OXY – Occidental Petroleum – Buy

Pops (stocks that jumped higher):
BAC – Bank of America (11%) – One of 9 banks selected by the federal government as a strategic backstop in the credit crisis
T – AT&T (12%) – Wal-Mart and Circuit City both agreed to sell their new TV and high-speed Internet service
BTU – Peabody Energy (11%) – Najarian: I thought their numbers were impressive
CHK – Chesapeake Energy (24%) – Terranova: Worth watching
AMD – Advanced Micro Devices (10%) – Strong sales of graphics and microprocessor chips led it to smaller than expected loss
WFC – Wells Fargo (13%) – Another of the 9 banks
NOV – National Oilwell Varco (9%) – Terranova: I like it with a stop at $26
UNH – United Health Group (41%) – Upgraded by Goldman Sachs from ‘Neutral’ to ‘Buy’

Drops (stocks that slid lower):
GE – General Electric (8%) – No clear reason
EBAY – eBay (8%) – Warned that a slowdown in consumer spending could have a negative impact well into 2009
PEP – Pepsico (6%) – Karabell: I think it’s just a troubled quarter
ING – ING (31%) – Speculation that it would have to raise more capital along
