DOW – Dow Chemical (5%) – Goldman Sachs upgraded it from ‘neutral’ to ‘conviction buy’ citing its ability to cost cut
CBS – CBS (10%) – Terranova: I think it could bode well for Scripps
LVS – Las Vegas Sands (15%) – Steve Grasso: I’d hold back on casino names
Russian Ruble – Seymour: I’d play the ruble with MBT and VIP
HGSI – Human Genome Sciences (269%) – Said its drug Benlysta proved successful in late-stage studies; and Citi analysts said it may be a takeover target of GlaxoSmithKline
GS – Goldman Sachs (2%) – Moved higher as other banks slid
HOG – Harley-Davidson (6%) – Goldman Sachs upgraded it from ’sell’ to ‘neutral’ and increased its price target from $11 to $20

Drops (stocks that slid lower):
HAR – Harman International (18%) – Management denied receiving a buyout offer, becoming the latest US company to be targeted by questionable bids purportedly from the Middle East
TSN – Tyson (9%) – Downgraded on value and pricing concerns
