MS – Morgan Stanley – Buy – Final Trade

XLK – Tech – Sell
.SPX – S&P – Buy
GS – Goldman Sachs – Buy
MS – Morgan Stanley – Buy

Pops (stocks that jumped higher):
IBM – IBM (4%) – Macke: Compared to Dell they look great
FLS – Flowserve (12%) – Beat on 4Q earnings due to higher margins
RBS – Royal Bank of Scotland (17%) – Seymour: The UK toxic asset fund is starting to work
NDAQ – Nasdaq OMX Group (4%) – Beat on 4Q earnings despite a 53% drop in profits
YHOO – Yahoo (4%) – Macke: I wish they’d just disband quietly
AFL – Aflac (19%) – The UK guaranteed lenders in which it has investments
FLR – Fluor (6%) – Terranova: Engineering stocks have been relatively resilient
LVS – Las Vegas Sands (32%) – Macke: It was way oversold
BIDU – Baidu (2%) – Seymour: It’s on the tear and I still like it

Drops (stocks that slid lower):
GM – General Motors (7%) – CEO Rick Wagoner asked Washington for more government aid
LTD – Limited Brands (13%) – Finerman: Move along
MRK – Merck (7%) – Investors believe it’s in the same position as Eli Lilly, which said it will lose millions if Obama’s health care plan is approved
