MSFT – Microsoft – Buy – “Final Trade”

*Buy crude on dips

Adami:
GLW – Corning – Buy
APOL – Apollo Group – Buy
HON – Honeywell – Buy on the dips
MSFT – Microsoft – Buy – “Final Trade”
*Own steel companies on dips

Najarian:
POT – Potash – Buy on pullbacks
AMTD – Ameritrade – Buy
NITE – Knight – Buy
SCHW – Schwab – Buy
ISRG – Intuitive Surgical – Buy for long term
YHOO – Yahoo – Buy – “Final Trade”
*Buy natural gas and coal on pullbacks

Finerman:
*Short the British pound – “Final Trade”

Anthony DiClemente, Lehman Bros. media analyst:
*Buy a basket of these companies with half a position instead of going all into them:
TWX – Time Warner
NWS – News Corp.
DIS – Disney
VIA – Viacom

Pops (stocks that jumped higher):
CCK – Crown Holdings (6%) – Macke: Looks good from here
SVU – Supervalu (6%) – Macke: Buying opportunity when they pull back
MTG – MGIC Investment (19%) – Finerman: This could be a very good sign; $34 million loss was far less damage than investors had anticipated
LEG – Leggett & Platt (15%) – Adami: The company guided higher which bodes well for the economy

Drops (stocks that slid lower):
IGT – International Game Technology (6%) – Najarian: Not surprising; all the big casinos have been essentially cut in half
WTS – Watts Water Technologies (18%) – Finerman: This company is not Flowserve; it’s big residential business is probably what hurt it
TXN – Texas Instruments (3%) – Adami: Since last summer the chart has looked absolutely lousy
EBAY – eBay (3%) – Najarian: Just a little pullback after a nice run
CHK – Chesapeake Energy (3%) – Adami: This will be a buy again
